With No. 439 Squadron, part of 1st Canadian Air Division, at CFB Solingen, Germany in 1991. Later with 425 Squadron, CFB Bagotville, PQ. Still at Bagotville in February 1995. With No. 425 Squadron at CFB Cold Lake, Alberta in 2005. Crashed 16 August 2005 in Saguenay Training Area, near CFB Bagotville, PQ. Departed controlled flight during Basic Fighter Manoeuvres training, entered flat spin. Capt. C. Marks ejected safely, picked up by Griffon of 439 Squadron. Spin believed to have resulted from exceeding angle of attack limits with asymmetrical wing fuel load.
