Primera, a low cost airline from Scandanavia that recently expanded into the transatlantic market from the UK and France has ceased operations.

The airline was the launch customer for the A321LR, of which they operated 5 with 1 more due for delivery. They also operated a number of 737-700/800s, and had 737 MAX8s on order.

The airline has blamed late delivery of the A321LRs earlier this year, which had a negative impact on the launch of transatlantic flights.

A real shame for all involved, especially a number of employees who joined from Monarch who went bust a year ago to the day. I was considering flying Primera in February to Malaga.
