Hello, I have seen most aircraft with pictures come from the user uploads. However, I see some users have the pictures link to their Flickr account. Is this something that can be done for everyone, if so how? Thank you John
As per my understanding, you cannot link your Flickr account. If there is no user picture uploaded, the site will try to search on Flickr if there is an image linked to a reg. That's why you will probably see Flickr linked picture without any report. For example I saw a car picture linked to a car plate because it was the same as a plane reg.
And if you upload a pic for a plane, your picture will automatically replace the Flickr picture.
Correct me if I'm wrong, it's just what I understoud
Thank you, but i find it curious, as I have hundreds of Flickr photos online which match up to registrations without a picture here and there is no link to them.
Got it in one Erazkiel..
One thing to add though, it searches for pictures on flickr that have been marked as Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 Generic (CC BY-SA 2.0) or similar.
If you've added your own on flickr, then make sure you've given it an applicable license that allows it to be used commercially if you want it to show up on PlaneLogger.
Or better yet, as a premium member you can upload images directly to planelogger with your sightings.
