Mitsubishi Spacejet has been repeatedly delayed and here is yet another delay. However, they say now that they have stopped both production and testing, and not even a planned timeline to recommence.
It's maybe not as bad as it initially looks from reading that article... at least I hope not. They plan to complete the 8th frame, then wind down production until the design is certified. The first 5 aircraft are apparently no good, but they plan to use 6 7 and 8 for the certification process.
It is a bit of a worry that they are stopping testing though.
Hopefully they can pull this off and get a design finalised.. the world could do with a little competition. The purchase of the CRJ project should bring in some new expertise to the team though.
