Please post all your Military updates/requests here and I'll get to them as quickly as possible.

Take care & stay safe!
Kind regards, Brian

In reference to US Coast Guard C-37A tail number 02.
c/n 638 is now N888HE as of 16/1/19 Amator LLC
c/n 5416 N640W is correct in DB but is still painted as 02 awaiting the replacement plane currently on order.

Thanks for your efforts adding the Vampires. Much appreciated. You'll probably be glad to learn I have other commitments this week so the next batch probably won't be posted until the weekend!
All the best.

Hi Brian,
A very quick update/correction for you, when you get a few minutes to spare:
Nord 262A Frégate s/n 43 - in the database as 043 (F-YCKB) - is showing as having been scrapped c.2009.
It's actually now residing inside, at the Musée de l'Aéronautique Navale, looking in rather good nick (via Euro Demobbed.org.uk).
One from your old Northolt "pig pen" days, methinks :)
Best wishes
Steve
Hi Brian,
A year almost to the day since my last trip; very little coming into the airport nowadays but it is slowly picking up. Then this week we had some Indian Air Force display teams in for a joint airshow with the Sri Lankan AF, so finally I got some new sightings!
So can you please add:
ZD4041, ZD4042, ZD4051 and ZD4060. All HAL Druv helicopters of the Indian Air Force "Sarang" display team.
and
A3676, A3678, A3682, A3699, A3874. All Hawks with the Indian Air Force "Surya Kiran" display team.
Many thanks
HI Alfred,
Your list from 25 February has now been completed.
Sorry for the delay...had a very busy week & same again next week!

Hi all,
First post on here, so hope it has enough info.... One of the French Air Force Airbuses appears missing:
F-UJCT A330-A330-243 French Air Force
Flew up the spine of the UK on Monday of last week, spotted over the Pennines.

Hi Erdni,
You latest list has been updated/added. Be very careful of AeroVisuals as I find their listings often mix several aircraft into one. Your C-45's are an example where they are 2 separate machines (52-10707 & 52-10917) !
Take care & stay safe!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Steve,
Latest list added for you.,
Take care!

Hi Greg,
Many thanks for the info on the USCG C-37's. Both update now.

Hi Bruce,
The UC-35A was in the DB but under 99-0101. I'm gradually getting around to changing all US Army a/c to the 5 digit standard, and this one has now been updated.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Greg,
CH-53E now added for you.
Kindest regards, Brian
Hi Steve R,
Many thanks for the update on the N-262A. I have no idea why my DB shows it as scrapped!
Indeed it was a 'blast from the past' from the good old Northolt days when they used to fly virtually right over my garden!
Kind regards, Brian
Thanks Brian
I found a couple of mistakes with Aerial Visuals before myself, but I can't say they are wrong too often. They just lack a brilliant controller and supervisor like you to coordinate the info brought in by outsiders like me. (Honey to your mouth since it's too early for paying your drinks)
Here is more lost treasure found by chance or accident, however you like the idea of working on another 5 including a new Dak again.

Hi Dougie,
Great that you managed to see some real aircraft flying at last. Not much happening down here in the south of England as my local field (Southampton) now has about 3 flights per day now that FlyBe went bust last year.
I note the high number on the last Hawk (A3874). I didn't realise they went up that high. I guess it's not a typo for A3674?
Take care & stay safe!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi David (rabidmiffy),
I'm not quite sure where you were looking but the FAF A330MRTT 1657/F-UJCT has been in the database since 12.12.2020 & lots of people have logged their sighting against it.
It can be found under both its serial (1657) and it's callsign (F-UJCT).
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Erdni,
All added for you (last one for this weekend - bet you weren't expecting that so soon!).
Another busy week ahead with funerals so no chance for any of my own logging for a whle as it takes me most of the weekend to play catch-up with everyone's requests!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Brian,
Thanks very much for all your work on the Vampire records. I'll get to work on the next batch in a week or so as you're busy this week. There may be some CAA updates though once they load the latest changes.
Stay safe,

Hi Brian

Well Pain I.T.A. is my middle name and you know why for almost a year now. Molesting you with civvy junk. Even worse: The new research on this one found another 3 Scenic Air Tours Beech 18's I've seen 1995. Luckily for you only one has got a known military background.

Sadly the other 2 have to wait until between this and the next pandemic to be added by Dennis. But somehow HNL 1995 comes close to opening Pandora's box just for you:

Erdni
Hi Pandora,
Well I'll forgive you for making me skip forward in my logging from 1976 to March 1983 when I was last at HNL to see the 2 C-45H's!
Hopefully I won't be around for the next pandemic so I'll leave all your civvy numbers in the capable hands of Dennis.
Take care my friend.
Kind regards, Brian
Thanks Brian and greetings from Pandora, who's trying to persuade me to request the other beech 18s as well-
I'm afraid to do so and just ask for correction for REGISTRATION DETAILS FOR TC-95 (ARGENTINE AIR FORCE-FUERZA AEREA ARGENTINA) 707-387B19241, which I believe never carried the C and definetly was just T-95 when being in storage at EPA before being broken up.
Unlike you, I never saw it as LV-ISD.
Erdni

Dear Brian, I am a recent new member to planelogger and I am just getting used to how things work. I was down at PIK yesterday and saw a plane that isn't in the database. I am not sure how much information you require to add it.
Aircraft] 93-1455 Lockheed C-130H Hercules C/N 382-5360 Built 1993 Owner: United States Air National Guard Current Status: Active service with Texas ANG
Please get back to me if you require any more information
I am enjoying the website very much. Thanks for doing it. John
Hi Erdni,
B.707 corrected for you. As far as I can see it never carried TC-95 so not sure who put it in as that!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Alfred,
That's how I like them....short & simple!
All added for you sir.
Take care,
Regards, Brian
Hi John,
Welcome to the Group and glad you're enjoying it. I only took over updating the military aircraft just over a year ago so there's still lots to add and the entire C-130 Worldwide fleet is on my huge list of to-do's !
The info you supplied is great. a reg, c/n, type & owner is normally sufficient as I have a large database going back many years to use for reference.
Kind regards, Brian
Hello Brian,
Could you add those planes please?

Dassault Aviation
Thanks a lot ! Paul
Thanks a lot Brian
Dennis finished the second (last) Russia additions. So I started to work on my first (very last) trip 2000 yesterday afternoon. Didn't get very far and only found a few for you. But first a recent forgotten sighting:

Really no need to excuse for what you call a delay all the time. We all know that you are working like a slave. Still nice to hear that you're overworked and not ill, sick or worse. Might as well be nice to hear, that You don't think of us as your slaveholders. If You do, I don't need to know.
Might please You to hear that 6 nights and this morning working on Russia 07/2000 and 08/2000 only makes an unexpected short list. Poor Dennis.
One Question for your addition on REGISTRATION DETAILS FOR RF-00563 (EMERCON OF RUSSIA) MI-2 HOPLITE Serial 546914110:
Didn't we or better you put all the existing Emercon or Emercom entries in the DB under Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations (MChS) months ago since we agreed that Emercom is just EMERCOM (derived from "Emergency Control Ministry?

Hi Brian,
The pressure from Erdni's constant update requests seems to be getting to you. For the super cub you added for me the other day you put the civil reg down as F-BOHM instead of F-BOMH??
No rush to update it, just whenever you have the time.
Cheers
Steve
Hi Alfred,
Your latest list has been added/update. At least I managed to see a few of these!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Erdni,
Your latest list has been added. My records show S9-BOV being reg'd 02.2002 so your sighting 27.7.2000 as RA-27211 is good.
Take care & don't rush with the next list...I'm still stuck in 1976 for my logs !!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi John,
Super Hornets added for you. I am gradually working my way through them...just finished the batch before these two!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Steve,
I think it's all these civvy numbers doing my head in (as well as Erdni's Russian spy planes!)
I've just finished logging the PFA Rally at Sywell on 04.7.1976 where I made 392 (when I was still collecting civvy light back then), so I think my brain was frazzled when I entered your Super Cub, sorry! All corrected now.
Cheers, Brian
Thanks a lot Brian

Hi Erdni,
Next list added for you...but I hate the bit "Part 1" so I guess there's another 20 parts heading my way soon !!
I show XC-FAN as having c/n 1385. c/n 2551 I show as D-HVIA ?
Have a good weekend. I'll be watching the F1.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Swakleys,
Both your CAA update lists have been completed. The Pembroke c/n I had was in fact the line number so thanks for the correction!
Have a great weekend.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi All,
Am gradually working on adding more aircraft types to the database.
Just to let you know that all Australian, Finnish & Swiss Hornets (all marques) have been added.
I'm currently working on the Canadians to be followed by Spanish, Malaysian, Kuwaiti then the rest of USN/USMC.
Will let you know once they're done.
Kind regards, Brian
Thank you. Brian.
You may be right with XC-FAN as 1385 but then you gave the same cn to XC-FAK as well instead of 1381
This one mislead me:

Hi Erdni,
Sorry for the silly c/n error - now corrected. I don't know where they got c/n 2551 from for XC-FAN as all the sites I've found quote it's 1385 - so I think it may be a typo on whoever posted the photo (unless someone has access to the official Mexican Civil Registration DB?)
I've also added the last one for you.
Just time to finish off the RCAF CF-188's then the race (well..qualifying today!)
Cheers, Brian
Thanks a lot Brian
After a short visit to DUS on my first Saturday without any job to do for weeks I just started to work on these notes when I saw that you found the time.So I'm still not through it but give you part 3:

Hi All,
Just to let you know all overseas customers' Hornets & Super Hornets (including those currently on order) have been added to the DB.
I'll finish off the USN Super Hornets after playing catch-up with a couple of your requests then the mammoth task of adding all USN/USMC Hornets.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Erdni,
Glad you're finally let out, other than for work. We're also allowed out (locally within 1-2 miles from home) from today but I bet everyone heads to the beach this week as we're expecting sunshine and maybe 23c !
Part 3 of your African trip has now been added (among all my work on the Hornet fleet!)
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Alfred,
All added for you...and I did mange to see some of them, thanks!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Warthog
I never really was locked in. DUS, CGN were never out of question since they're pretty close. Even the rest of Germany would have been possible almost all of the time. Just the Hotels would have not let me in. A long journey for Corona Lockdown traffic before sleeping in my car in Winter was just not necessarily what I dreamt of. I dreamt of time travelling back into the last millennium:

Hi Brian,
Have you had a chance to review the Scramble website recently?
A useful report on 28 March:

Hi Brian,
Something of an odd occurrence happening, regarding the Irish Air Corps PC-12s....
If I enter 282 into the 'My Sightings' field, it shows no results. However, if I enter 281 it resolves as having been a sighting/entry....even though 282 shows as the aircraft in question, when I view the IAC inventory of PC-12s!
I'm unsure as to what may be causing this, but felt you ought to be made aware.
Best wishes
Steve
Hi Brian could you please add when you have time
92-2104 Hercules H-130H 5381 USAF
many thanks Andy
Hi Erdni,
Your next list of Russian spy planes has been added. I'll have to do some digging on the SFOR Let 410 & come back to you as nothing obvious shows up in my database.
Take care,
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Swakeleys,
Tiger Moth added for you.
I hadn't checked the Scramble updates as I've been busy trying to enter the FA-18 Hornet/Super Hornet fleet into the database and not really making a dent at the moment!
Enjoy the long weekend.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Brian & Erdni,
I'm thinking that the best option for that SFOR Turbolet has to be Lithuanian Air Force example, L-410UVP s/n 01 (msn 820738).
The Lithuanian MoD participated in the SFOR mission from 1996-2004.
Although, that being said, I've just realised that the Slovenian AF's L-410UVP-E L4-01 has the presentation of just '01' on its nose....and was indeed wearing SFOR titles at RIAT 2002.
Best wishes
Steve
Edited/updated
Hi Steve,
I think I may have caused the issue with your IAC PC-12's. When I was updating them earlier this year I noticed they had all been entered with the incorrect military serial (it does not follow the civil reg - as whoever put them into the DB in the first place mistakenly thought), so I changed their military reg's to match the correct c/n.
I can see that 282 was originally entered as 281 (and 281 was originally entered as 283!) so I can see what the system has done...it has retained what you originally logged it as, but when you pull up the file it shows it's current record, hence your (original) 281 being in 'My Sightings' but when you pull the record it displays (correctly) as 282.
I didn't realise this happened so I've learned something today!
The only way to correct it is to go into 'My Sightings', pull up your '281' and delete it. Then go back into the main DB, find the 'real' 281 (c/n 1795) and re-log it.
Sorry for the headache (it's not meant as an April Fool...honest guv !)
Cheers, Brian
(PS: thanks for the tips on Erdni Let 410)
Hi Andy,
HC-130N added for you.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Erdni,
Thanks to Steve R, I think your Let 410 is a choice of two a/c. The Lithuanian AF was '01 blue' when I saw it at Mildenhall Air Show 24May98. Or you have L4-01 of the Slovenian AF which carried '01' on the nose both at Mildenhall Air Show 27May00 and at RIAT 16Jul17.
Enjoy your Easter weekend!
Kind regards, Brian
