The aircraft was transferred to the Gabon Presidential Guard on the 15th of December 1970 and was identified by the letter "G"
Returned to the SAAF with its original tail number 7601.
The aircraft was sold to SAA for use as instructional airframe for the SAA Apprentice Training School.
The aircraft was rebuilt to airworthy standard and registered ZS-WLP on the 8th of March 1990 and named "Spook".
The aircraft is used for hands on training for a live aircraft and is usually displayed at various air shows and functions.
