Regn's with two types.

Can anyone help please? I am logging Qantas planes, others also, where the same reg. is used for B707's and B747's. I can enter my first 747 sighting manually, but when I try to enter a second and subsequent sighting the 707 comes up and when I try to enter manually there doesn't appear to be a way of doing it. Many thanks, Peter

Hello Dennis,

I can follow that and it is certainly part of the answer. My main concern is when I try to log a 2nd or 3rd time seen, the search screen says that I have seen the aircraft, which of course I have, but there is no facility to add the extra sightings. At the moment I am keeping a note in the hope an answer will be forthcoming. Like you I have 40 years of sightings. It's a shame really because I feel the site is just what the doctor ordered.

the only way i know how is to enter the reg as such VH-EBGX in add multiple it will then show in a box under linked airframes where you can add your info on what you saw but doing it that way it will not link to a airframe in the database but it will show in your log and you can do this as many as you wish for each sighting. you just have to rembmber to remove the X. or whatever you choose to put at end of the reg.

Thanks Gary. It would be nice though if the search screen could be amended to accept subsequent sightings.

Cheers, Peter

Hi MarilaPlanesLive,

I never considered that, it's a bit of an issue with the way the single sightings are configured to work. I'll have a look and see if there's a way around it.

Cheers Gavin, I hope you can find a way round it. Peter
