I tried to add an couple of old flights from 1989, Manchester to Istanbul Ataturk Airport (ISL). Both are showing as Isla La Tortuga Punta Delgada in Venezuela. Do both airports use the same code? regards Steve
Steve,
Istanbul Atatürk Airport (ISL) was a general aviation, cargo, and state aircraft airport in Istanbul. It closed to commercial passenger flights on April 6, 2019 when all flights were transferred to Istanbul Airport (IST). The other airfield in Istanbul is Sabiha-Gokcen SAW.
I would suggest you use the code IST instead of ISL.
Kind regards, Brian
Thanks Brian, I'll try that. Regards Steve
You can also log a sighting using the 4 letter ICAO code.. you can try using this if you are getting a clash between two codes.
