Just a quick "hello"

Certainly it's a bit hard to do any spotting at the moment. I miss going to the airports. And there's no overflights either.

You´re right, no spotting at the airport. But here we have no movements anyway right now. We are on roundabout 5 regular flights a day. Unbelievable. Last time it was the volcanic eruption in Iceland exactly ten years ago when everything was shut down but this was only for a few days...

Trust you and yours are safe and well.

Yes we used to have a daily Cinnamon Air seaplane pass nearby my home but that is not happening at the moment. I've got a meeting near the airport next week which would normally mean swinging by to check what visitors are in, but this time it will be SriLankan and not much else! I can hope for some bizjets maybe.

I don't miss the security and immigration queues. But I do miss the strolls up and down the piers to see what birds are parked up!

I miss the flying the most :-(

I was just about to book a few intra-EU widebody flights just as the lockdown started to take effect. It looks like those flights will be gone for good now.

I've been flying nearly every week January and February. Then it ground to a halt.

I certainly don't miss the queues, security checks... but I do miss the spotting, the miles, and sitting back with a glass of wine (my wine cupboard is empty and we are on lock down!)

I strangely miss the sandwiches in the airport lounge too.... :)
