Airports without IATA or ICAO

Local Airport: LHR

I have found a number of airfields in the UK that do not have IATA or ICAO codes. They seem to mostly be private strips or gliding clubs. In my travels I have spotted a few planes resident at these fields. For example Clipgate Farm in Kent, Chiltern Park Aerodrome in Oxfordshire, and Lower Upham Farm in Wiltshire.

I have found two resources that provide codes to most airstrips but with different coding systems:

https://airportguide.com/ (seems to be provided by the FAA)

http://woodair.net/default.htm (created by John Woodside)

I have been using the woodair.net codes since they match the ICAO style.

Is there an official (Gov) resource that has codes for all UK landing sites?

Best regards

Mike

I have come across the same issue. Some strips have no ICAO code issued and some of those are even ex RAF bases admittedly from many years ago. At the moment I log aircraft at these as 'off' and then add the name of the airfield in the comments but it would be nice to have a way of logging these sightings at the actual airfield.
