Hi All,

Just a quick line to advise I've finally finished adding/updating the huge list of US Army C-12's (including the civvy reg ones just for Erdni!)

I'll start to play catch-up with your lists this week (another busy one for me - including Saturday) and then I'll make a start on the C-130J/H worldwide fleets (not sure when I'll ever get around to doing my own logging!!).

Kind regards, Brian

HI Erdni,

Your latest list of Daks has been added but I'd like some of what you've been drinking when you logged the EF-18. You asked for CE.15-01 which I did, then you asked for CE-15-06 which is 0438/B079 and not 0395/B066 (that's CE.15-03 !). So you can make up your mind (or understand your writing in your logbook), I've put all 12 EF-18BM's in the DB.

Take care mate!

Brian

Hi Brian,

Sorry, I don't know where the wrong cn came from, especially since I had the correct one in request number 1. I shouldn't copy anything under the influence of mineral water again. Lately I started correspondence with a psychoanalyst from SOU who would just call it a brain fart.

HK-3349 carried full SADELCA cs and titles in march 1996 in VVC and the JP Airline fleets has got it in their fleet list also. If you don't mind, take another look, please or just trust your patient patient

Hi Brian,

Many thanks for the additions, yes I was surprised at the number of aircraft they used, especially as there are more already in the database!

Please add the following Fouga CM170R Magisters of the Belgian AF 'Les Diables Rouges' not already in the database. The aircraft marked (2) are 2 of the 9 former Luftwaffe aircraft refurbished and delivered to replace Belgian AF examples previously written-off and given the serials and c/ns of the aircraft they replaced (others being MT-10, MT-17, MT-20, MT-22, MT-25, MT-29 and MT-30). I have been unable to find reference to their former Luftwaffe serials and c/ns.

Aloha Erdni !

You were drinking mineral water? Shame on you! Don't you know there are children dying of thirst in Africa, the carbon doesn't help our greenhouse gasses, the plastic bottle will live for 2,000 years and the world economy has now gone through the floor because beer sales have dropped...all because of you!

So before you log your sightings that I've just added for you or send me another Dak list....GO BUY BEER!!

Have a great weekend buddy!

Cheers, Brian

HI Brian C,

Your Indian BN-2T has been added. The type has been wfu but I can find no idea of date or the status of the a/c, so have shown it as stored.

Have a good weekend.

Dear Mr. Warthog,

Words cannot express how delighted I felt reading the most heartwarming and conclusive reprimand I ever got in a lifetime. Now I know what I suspected for a couple of month: You've got the one and only attitude to life that makes sense and carry your heart in the right place.

Do I have to live with your refusal to add N223LA as a punishment for my misbehaviour or is there any chance for me to get on parole?

I try to bail me out with a minimum of cop-choppers and a maximum of 100% military registrations from 2018/19:

After 7 months they are going to close the pubs in Germany again on monday for at least 4 weeks because of Brexit 19. I think I would have known what to do this weekend anyway but with your wise exhortation my decision is crystal clear!

Thanks for leading me through one crisis after the other and even more thanks for forgiving me someday. (Not necessarily today)

Hi Brian .thank you for the last list of additions . The Sea Vampire XA127 C/N 15226 was taken from the FAA website Aircraft data sheet . As you have pointed out this is totally different to what every other source has (15405). I concur that 15405 is probably correct , but likewise am intrigued as to where they have got 15226 from ? The accident report of XD379 reads to me as pretty catastrophic to the frame so i would be suprised if much survived intact. The current Wrecks and Relics has no connection between the two frames so maybe the FAAM has it wrong.

Now to the boring bit , i have been putting this off for a while , but being in Wales and locked down again with nowhere to go i have trawled through my logs and found a few Tornado F3's to add .

HI Geoff,

I wasn't aware of the duplication on the BAF Magisters, and my records don't show any as coming from Germany (but I was more into US forces so my records aren't as good as they should be!).

I've added them to the DB and shown them as CM.170R's to identify them against the original CM.170's (if that makes sense!).

The whole BAF Magister fleet needs a clean up as some are in as CM.170, and others as CM-170. I'll try to get round to it sometime next week.

Have a good weekend,

Kind regards, Brian

Hi Brian,

The c/ns for the 9 replacement Belgian Magisters did not have a 'D' before the number e.g.the replacement MT-2 was c/n 259, same as the original a/c.

There were also 5 former Luftwaffe Messerschmitt built Magisters delivered to the Belgian AF in 1969 and which retained their German c/ns.:

MT-46 c/n D145 ex AA+237, ED+392, ER+392

MT-47 c/n D203 ex AA+292, KE+103

MT-48 c/n D204 ex AA+293, AA+204, KE+104

MT-49 c/n D222 ex AA+222

MT-50 c/n D224 ex AA+240, 93+26

I believe that CM.170R was the designation for the initial production version of the Magister.

Kind regards, Geoff

Hi Erdni,

I think I must have drunk some of your funny water as I put N223LA in as N233LA (just to fool you!).

A couple of notes on the KWRB Museum:

  1. The TB-26C is 44-35732
  2. T-50 271714 is UC-78B 42-71714
  3. B-29 448369 is DB-17G 44-83690
  4. If you meant that to be the B-29A nose, that's 44-61739

Hope this helps. Take care & stay safe.

Kind regards, Brian

Sorry, I didn't knock myself out completely this weekend. I still was able to prepare so much. You are the victim of a German lockdown despite of Brexit. Goes to show how even best laid plans can lack a lot of success by unforeseen circumstances.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Jens,

Your HC-130H has been added to the DB with it's USCG s/n 1719 (it never wore 86-0422) this was a USAF s/n allocation on paper for the contract before being allocated to the USCG (as most of their a/c are).

Kind regards, Brian

Sorry Warthog, I spoiled.

Well what else do You expect from a Russian spy? The following list could have been much longer, if my internet connection had not broke down a lot the last three days. Probably a cyber attack from somewhere near SOU. Lucky you, I've got a job to do this Saturday. That's why I send the following tonight:

Converted to civil configuration (as an 'On Mark Marketeer') as N5538V, later N706ME, N36B, N26MR, N26WB. Despite the markings she is officially now N706ME. Note that a military nose, complete with impressive array of cannons, has been re-fitted to the aircraft since some of the earlier images. Her status is therefore now back to being a B-26B Invader!

Hi Erdni,

You must be getting bored in pub-free Lockdown as I now see you're posting a new list even before I finish the last one!!

I've just finished the last one for you but I can't remove the false Chilean AF 581 record from KC-135E 57-1511 (it was put in ages ago before I took over the Military editing). It was never with the Chilean AF and still lays in AMARG. I've put a note on the record asking them to remove their sightings so I can delete it. I'm not sure how they spotted it in the first place as they never had a KC-135E s/n 581 anyway!!

Have a great weekend & stay safe.

Kind regards, Brian

Hi Erdni,

Now I know you are definitely a Russian spy going to Roswell trying to steal the UFO the Americans have had hidden for years (don't forget to let me have the s/n for the DB!), but managing to get a better catch with the Tunisian Kiowa's !

If their numbering follows in sequence (it normally does) then TS-VTV is the last of the batch of 24 making it L81524/TS-VTV. Most (if not all of them) are from AMARG but I only have 1 confirmed ex US Army tie-up.

Can you & your friend also do me a big favour? It looks like someone put 97-01944 in as a duplicate record (I didn't spot it so put the complete record for it in as well) & now we have a double entry. Can you kindly move your log onto the 'other' listing so I can delete the duplicate record?

Take care & stay safe buddy.

Kind regards, Brian

Hi Erdni,

Well I feel like I've just typed in a whole spotting logbook !!

I've finally finished your small list (ha ha) and notice you managed to sneak in a civvy DH Dove as it never saw service with the Chilean AF (according to my records anyway).

I deliberately mistyped the HH-46E to see if you were still awake (my excuse anyway, lol !)

Have a great weekend...pubs to re-open in a couple of weeks (always think positive!)

Kindest regards, Brian

Hi Jeremy,

Hercules 16-5834 has been added to the database for you. My records show it's currently with 19 AW as a standard C-130J-30, not an JHC-130J Combat King II (if it's been modified since January 2020 please let me know).

Thanks Brian

Must have been quiet an exciting race. I asked for

Austria - Ministry of Interior Reg: OE-BXN photos Aircraft: Aérospatiale AS 350B1 Ecureuil Serial #: 2214 active 2006, you put in 8566 which makes me wanna go to Austria tomorrow.

I also asked for

Austria - Ministry of Interior Reg: OE-BXT photos Aircraft: Bell 206B JetRanger III Serial #: 4441 active 2006, you put in 08492 which makes me curious if I saw it in Vienna in 1987.Thanks, as D-HAFI it is a hit anyway.

I had an exciting race through the second half of 2005 in the last 48 hours that ended up as the longest request list Dennis ever will get from me (I hope). I tried to deliver everything with a sign of a military history in here but it wasn't as much as Dennis would like to see.

But first the second half of notes from early 2006;

Hi Erdni,

Yes it was a good race with everyone spinning off. Even Lewis made a couple of mistakes but he's the new rain master (took over from Schuey years ago) and I think that helped him.

Your latest list has been updated. I can see the An-24 was stored before it went to the museum but I can't find out where, so I'm guessing it's your correct machine.

Got a busy rest of the week so probably nothing else from me until the weekend.

Kindest regards, Brian

Thanks a lot Brian

I really thought I had nothing prepared but Dakotas, but my silly jumps between decades almost made me forget about the second half of the KDMA list 2016 plus other Westcoast treasure from that trip.

After putting a lot of requests of mine under Politie Luchtvaart Dienst you opened a new fleet for PH-RPY and PH-RPJ as Netherlands Police-Dienst Luchtvaartpolitie. Maybe they should be put together under whatever name pleases you most.

Take your time and take care. You set the speed. Not Lewis Hamilton.(Against you, this guy might not even have a snowball's chance in hell dealing with our requests)

Hi Erdni,

Wow - that Dak has had nearly as many owners as you owe me beers ha ha! Have also cleaned up the Dutch Police.

Finally managed to finish your list tonight so I can do some of my own logging tomorrow (still in October 1971 !).

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Kind regards, Brian

Thanks a lot, Brian

Prepared a list 2004-2005 but I better wait until Dennis is as far as that or I have to recheck everything twice. What follows is a list of ten billion times as many Daks as I drank beers in pubs this month.... No, that would still be zero Daks.

What follows is a list containing as many Daks as a thousandth of the beers I owe you.:

Take your time. I hope one of these crossed your path back in 1971 since they've all been around for a quarter of a century. I bet at least one did if you weren't stuck in SOU because of a pandemic or something like that.

Take care on your ride back in history. There's gonna be a cold war going on that's pretty hot around Vietnam. The good old times weren't much better than what we've got now. Well aviation at least was much more interesting.Have fun.

Hi Erdni,

Well I finally got bored logging RAF Devon's, Pembroke's, Argosy's, Hasting's, Andover's etc at RAF Northolt as a 15-year old school boy in 1971 so decide this morning to start on your Daks (including the civvy ones that crept in!).

I wish I hadn't as I'm all Dak'd out now and if I ever see another Dak I'll.....let the tyres down! Even my laptop gave up after some 10 hours of inputting civil reg's and decided to update my Windows 10 version instead without asking me (I think it was marginally more fun watching the little icon going round and round than writing out civil reg's).

If ever someone asks you if you want to buy a second-hand C-47 (with one careful owner Guv) - don't believe them! I think some of them are bought and sold more times in a week than I go to the Supermarket !!

Anyway they're all in now so I'm closing down for the night to watch my football team beat Atalanta again and some kind of service will be resumed over the next couple of days.

Kind regards, Brian

Wow Brian

I'm overwhelmed by your wonderful way of finding words for saying thank you; Erdni.

You're a poet

And You don't even know it

I am also overwhelmed by the speed You added the list, with only two little corrections necessary. I bet these mistakes were unrequested false updates made by your laptop:

N212DD ended her life with two DD for Derelict Dakota and not with a forgotten D like in Dementia.

After flying for 18 owners as N600JD 3291 asked for a new arrangement in 1992 and was reregd as N600NA.

You will be pleased to hear that more Daks are prepared already and even more pleased that they have to wait for almost forgotten odds and sods, mostly from a country starting with the letter U ca. 2012 to 2014:

Well after that you will neither feel Herc'd out nor will your head feel like cop-chopped off.

You will just feel satisfied giving me a Christmas feeling 3 weeks early.

Thank you so much in advance

Hi Steve T,

Glad you're moving up through the years in the logbook. I've just reached Feb 1972 so think I'll take a couple of weeks off from Erdni's Daks over the Xmas/New Year period to try to play catch-up!

Your latest list has now been added.

Take care & stay safe.

Kind regards, Brian

Hi Geoff,

I'm so sorry...I don't know how I missed your last list (thought you'd gone quiet!) Probably so wrapped up with Erdni's huge Dak list that followed.

I'll get onto it tomorrow instead of getting up in the attic for the Xmas decs!! (great excuse!)

Kind regards, Brian

Thanks again much earlier than expected, Brian

Hope your not suddenly addicted to adding Daks. If so, I'm worried I have to feel responsible. At least you try to convince the rest of the world that exactly the opposite is the case. Let's try something different:

Hi Erdni,

Just for you to do something on a Sunday afternoon, I've added your NASA T-38's.

I think I've got over the trauma of the last Dak lists so you can post your next one on the new thread (10) and I'll decide if I want to do it before I close up for Xmas (ha ha!)

Take Care.

Kind regards, Brian
