A380s For United?

Lots of rumours going around that United are set to buy a few A380's, with the first few frames coming from the cancelled Skymark order.

What do you all think? Will this happen, and will the A380 look good in United colours?

United just changed 10 of their ordered 787 Dreamliners to 777-300ER so there must be indeed a demand regarding capacity.

I personally doubt that United will get the A380 in the end, I guess they´ll stick to two engines on long-haul.

I'm sure if they are offered a good price from Airbus, they will soon change their mind!

Hi Nighthawk While a limited number might make sense, I would imagine that with a fleet the size of United's they would not want the complexity of a handful of A380s. They would want simplicity and standardisation, so more likely to go for more 777s; if they really want bigger they would be more likely to go for 747s.
