Since the launch of PlaneLogger almost 2 years ago to the day, one of the most requested features has been the ability to upload images.
I'm delighted to announce that image uploads are now available!
With the introduction of PlaneLogger Premium membership, premium members will now be able to attach as many images as they wish to their sightings.
Why not give it a try? Upgrade from just £5 a month, and begin storing your images on PlaneLogger.com.
I am curious, can you upload photo's of previous spottings?
you sure can - just hit edit on an existing sighting, and add as many images as you like.
Oops, I can't load comments to my new sightings. I'm getting the following error message: Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".
Are the comments now only to be reserved for premium customers?

All users should be able to add comments. I'll look into this.
EDIT: The issue affecting the adding/editing of entries has now been resolved.
That resolved it. Thanks, Nighthawk. Jonathan
Hello again Nighthawk, Photos formatted as "portraits" are all being displayed sideways.
Hi ux166c,
I have noticed a few photos appearing like this. As far as I am aware, these images are displaying correctly, the image does appear to be rotated 90 degrees.
A few recent examples were uploaded by DT. Were these images taken and uploaded by a mobile by any chance? If so, what model?
Both images were taken with an iPhone 5s and uploaded by such.
DT: I've added the ability to rotate your images after uploading. Just click "Edit" on any sighting with images that you need to rotate.
Let me know if it works ok :)
Gavin, great!! Thanks for this. Worked out well!!!
Dennis
Excellent! I look forward to seeing some of your shots!
Is it possible to upload a photo as a different date to my first sighting?
You could create a new sighting for that aircraft, and add it to that.
The button disappears from the "View Aircraft" screen once you've marked it as seen (which is an oversight I'll fix), but you can add another sighting using the "Add Multiple" screen.
Yeah, I knew I could do that, but I only mark my first sighting but have taken photos of aircraft (with phone) on other dates and would prefer not to add a new sighting.
