Defiantly some confusion around the C-47, even the info board at the museum says F-GEFY but there are clearly even more complications than first though. Hopefully your DC-3 expert can get to the bottom of it.

(D-9511) Skycrane Hermeskeil This is reportedly the original cockpit section of Skycrane S-64E s/n 64-003. It served with the West German Defense Ministry as D-9511 in the early 1960's. The helicopter was rebuilt after an accident (as N6960R) in 1974, a new cockpit section was added and flies with Erickson Air Crane as N176AC. so they are one and the same - albeit in parts

thanks for the repeated updates and additions, as to the RAF C-130s , looks like the database is a little bit of a mess, many incorrect types, and even some as C.130 and some as C-130 or just Hercules as well as c/ns missing the prefix which makes them list in incorrect order , I am working my way through making them a standard entry with correct models as far as I can , may take a little while to complete

totally agree with trying to get proper fleetlists , something I will work on as and when available - found many many types with incorrect info re model types such as C-130 C.130 C130 C-130H and all sorts of variants in between, I am like you regarding model types and hope to get on top of it one day - I am still adding my own logs as well but am up to 10/2022 so will have more time soon for corrections hopefully, I am also adding stored/preserved aircraft , started with Europe and so far up to Cyprus so many more to go there too, I do appreciate your updates and your ideas

This Tracker never served as an airtanker, and was never officially registered.

It is an S2F-1, ex BuA136745,

which was delivered to the Japanese Navy on 12 Mar 1959 as 4146.

In Oct 1983 it was acquired by Hemet Valley Flying Service as a spares aircraft and stored at at the Hemet-Ryan airtanker base.

In 2001 it was restored and placed on display as a memorial.
