Painfully Slow

Half way through logging the final sightings on my latest trip and the system has come to a stop. When I select a registration, it comes up but when i click on it, nothing.

Tried in 3 different browsers, same result.

Anyone else having this or is it just my crappy wifi?

Hi, I agree. If you try to open the fleet of an airline it simply does not work. Since the latest changes in "My Reports" the search is extremely slow and I want to mention again it is worth in general. You can't search for a date like before. You need to have the correct formate of an airport code (e.g. only capital letters). I hope the search will be changed to what it was before.

We're aware of the issue. We've been doing some maintenance on the site today to speed things up a bit. There's still a lot to do, but hopefully you'll start to see some performance improvements over the weekend.

There seem to be further issues, which may relate to maintenance.

When recording a flight it no longer appears if you select the aircraft. Previously all flights on that individual aircraft were recorded. The flight does show on the My Flights tab however. Can it be corrected?

Similarly, the aircraft spotted no longer have maps on the page and the Comments are also missing. Can this also be checked and amended such that it reverts to the previous format?

Hi again,

also your sightings are not mentioned. You can see that you have logged the aircraft, but airport, date and my comments are missing. If you want to use the aircraft symbol to add a sighting an error occurs.

My reports is as slow as before.

The issue with the "add sighting" button has now been corrected.

Your sighting & flight lists will be re-added at some point over the weekend. Next priority is going to be to try and speed up fleet listings.

My Profile is private. Today my logs said seen by unknown until i went public.

Not that the unknown ones changed to erdni. They hat to be deleted and logged again.

Reports and fleet listing have been rewritten to be a lot faster.

I'll take a look at the sightings for non public users tomorrow.

There seems to be a separate additional issue.

Aircraft spotted now include Comments - although the map remains missing - but after adding new sightings as a private user my name no longer appears but shows Unknown instead.

When recording a flight both the date and detailed Comments still no longer appear if you select the aircraft. Are you still working on this aspect?

It's awful right now.

First before I get to the sight I get a screen "checking your browser" for up to a minute.

Then when I can get in, three clicks later "this page isn't working", or on another browser "planelogger.com can't currently handle this request".

All I am trying to do is check a registration. Ten minutes and two browsers later I still haven't been able to.

Hi nighthawk,

There seem to be a further software issues again.

Files for G-EZWX and G-EZUT will not load - respone is 'Loading'. There are, however, no issues with advertisements loading! Surely accessing the individual aircraft files is more important than ads (although I appreciate ads pay many of the cost).

Additionally when listening to radio online at the same time unwanted ad sounds play.

Could you please investigate?

Yep, whole easyjet fleet has a problem. They load , but it takes around 2 minutes.
