Hello,
My first post
Some of my sighting that I had logged as "seen" now shown as not seen ?
I am 100% confident I have seen the particular aircraft - for example a BA 787-8 - I live close to Heathrow and see the BA fleet almost daily - This "not seen" state has also happened on Easyjet aircraft
Has anybody else noted previously "see" aircraft appearing as not seen
Steve
Sorry to hear this Steve.
Do you have an example of a registration you think has disappeared?
Does it still show in your list of sightings?
Hi Dennis
Can CL600 Challenger 604 c/n 5644 OE-INY be updated. Is now N395MH. Thanks

Thanks for the reply
OK a good example would be G-VWHO - so if I search airlines for "virgin Atlantic" and then select 787 it shows that I have not seen G-VHWO & G-VOWS
Now if I search my sighting for G-VWHO is is listed as seen by me !
OK so I have seen G-VWHO but it is merely "not seen" in the Virgin Atlantic 787 fleet list
!!!!!
Cheers Steve
Hi Steve,
In order to allow users to add sightings for aircraft that we do not have in our database, sightings are not directly tied to an aircraft. Instead, a combination of Registration and Delivery date are used to tie the two together. It looks like the delivery date for this frame was wrong when you marked it as seen. It has since been corrected, thereby breaking the link.
Thankfully it's rare that delivery dates need to be revised, so this shouldn't happen too often.
It's one of the things I would like to correct in the database, and shortly I will be releasing an update to remove this weakness, and also a tool to allow you to identify sightings and re-attach them easily.
However, for now the only option is to delete the sighting, and re-add it.
