Wondering if searching by comment or base may be available in the future. For example, I just returned from California, and am trying to ID a couple of stored frames seen at TIJ from across the border.

this is a great idea but probably not manageable because the amount of possible results is huge. If you'd be searching for "stored" you'd receive thousands of entries making it still almost impossible to find the right aircraft.

Gavin, but wouldn't it be possible to search for a construction number, also? That would improve the search function of the site a lot in my opinion.

Search by construction number certainly sounds a good idea.

I can see searching by comment being useful, but it would need a fairly specific search query to be useful, otherwise it would return far too many results to be useful. For example, searching for "TIJ" would return 60 results, "LHR" returns 1,061.

I'll have a play and see if I can come up with something useable :)
