Hi,
the new appearance is fine, but you should think about putting the image to the bottom please. We always have to page down to see the lines for the sightings. Especially when there is no image assigned you see the "empty" picture of the 757, which does not make no sense in my opinion.
To make sure that you know what I mean:

Any comments from others are welcome.

Hi Gerhard
I think that when there is a photo it works well because you get a preview of aircraft and colours, to confirm your sighting before you enter sightings. What I would like to see is more information on aircraft descriptions, especially now that so many old passenger planes are being converted for cargo use. From the day built to being scrapped the mod status stays the same, even though they have been converted two or three times.

Hi again,
@Nighthawk - It would be nice to get a comment from you about the topic. I stay with my opinion, it costs me much more time to find and enter new registrations. Maybe you can reduce the size of the picture or allow the user in his profile to hide the pictures. It also takes more time to load the page.
There is so many unused space left and right. I fear it is because of the use of smartphones. Is that the reason or could you alternatively think about using this space?

Hi Franzen,
I'm waiting to see what other peoples oppinions are on the change. Personally I think it looks good - but it's up to everyone else.
Hi nighthawk, as a regular user i can see both sides of the argument. personally for me maybe a slightly smaller picture would be good as i agree it does cost extra time when adding sightings. Equally if some entries are of a poor quality or no picture is entered it makes the page look a tad scruffy. still a great site and overall the appearance and changes are good.
Happy with the change but I liked the old version as well. I just noticed that for the map that ICAO codes are not considered, only IATA codes. Could you add it ?
Thanks
Hi Nighthawlk,
I don't wanna bother you, but I want to come back to this topic.
I am still thinking about to ease for everbody to check entries and make new entries.
Every new member of planelogger who has to start going through their old logs has to spend a lot of time. Especially if you are on a busy airport the entries should be made easy and fast. Therefore it should be as uncomplicated and fast as possible. With the new design you have to page down and up again for every new search. Some people might say use "add a report" to enter a lot of sightings very quick. But from my own experience and what I sometimes see, it produces a lot of wrong entries (wrong sighting and even worse the wrong aircraft).
I am only asking to put the image on the bottom or to reduce the size. The latter could please everybody who wants to see the picture first, but enables you to see the entries immediately. As I mentioned, if there is just the frame without a picture or what happens very often, the shown picture is simply said "not worth to look at" or does not even show the mentioned aircraft, I don't understand why I have to see it. This opinion might offend some persons - sorry for that.
I made the proposal to e.g. add a setting (user profile) that enables the user to hide the images or alternatively place it on the bottom. Is that something you would completely deny? I myself would prefer the small images instead of the large ones as mentioned above.
Since I started working with planelogger I was wondering why the cursor is not placed on the first field (e.g. =search for registration or if you add an entry "Airport (IATA or ICAO Code)"). That would enable to start typing immediately and ease the work. Ever thougt about it?
I know you are very busy, but if you find the time think about my proposals.
