On my home page, when entering reports/sighting, I am getting a message, "User Not Found" even though the site is accepting my entries and my name appears in the "Welcome" at the head of the page!! Thank you for your help with this matter.

I get a similar "user not found" but when I am deleting a report.

Yes, Dougiehd I have also noticed the same thing happen. When I first noticed it, it led to multiple entries which I had to delete. I have been reluctant to make entries in case they disappear into the ether.

I wouldn't worry too much about entries disappearing - I've not experienced that at all. To be fair, I only experience it when I delete a manual entry. It's just a slight irritant. But I've never experienced records actually disappearing.

Thanks for the reassurance. :)

Records wont disappear.

Basically, after you add or delete a record, the system redirects you back to the "My Sightings" page. When you access this page, it looks up your username, and compares it with the username of the MySightings page you tried to access, to check it belongs to you. This check appears to be failing to find your username for some reason.

the record should have already been added/deleted. Just click the "My Sightings" link at the top to get back to the page you should be on. If you hit "refresh" on this page, you may end up adding a sighting more than once.

I'll look for a fix for this shortly.
