| Comments | C-141A mod to C-141B; On its last flight (to AMARC 06.4.1997 with 305 AMW) the wing cracked and was flexing beyond limits, forcing the a/c to land at North Field (an AMC auxiliary airfield near Charleston AFB, SC); It was discovered to have centre wing-box cracks while on the ground. Due to its condition it was unable to be safely flown to anywhere for repair. It was cannibalised for spare parts & finally scrapped there 30.6.2005; |
