| Comments | 18.12.87 nr Dulles Airport 0(X) on a nighttime flight from EWR and was approaching IAD from the south. With the gear and flaps down it passed through a light cloud deck with the engine inlet deice in the off position. Both engines flamed out due to ice ingestion. It landed in a field and tore the main gear out from under the aircraft and folded the nose gear under the cockpit. All on board walked away (one deadheading crew reportedly experienced some back pain). Aircraft was cut up and removed to Hagerstown Maryland by a aircraft salvage company reg canc 04.91, |
