| Comments | converted into a VIP helicopter with 14 seats by Novosibirski ARZ in 1996, but this conversion was not authorized by MVZ im. Milya (none of the seats was equipped with safety belts); w/o 28.04.02 on the leg from Yermakovskoye to Lake Oiskoye of a flight from Krasnoyarsk-Cheremshanka to Lake Oiskoye, carrying Krasnoyarsk governor Aleksandr Lebed', when took off without relevant meteorological information, followed the road from Yermakovskoye to Kyzyl, encountered below-minima weather conditions (fog), failed failed to return and flew very low, when the pilot noticed a high-voltage power-line which crossed the road 74 km from Yermakskoye he manoeuvred energetically, trying to prevent a collision, but the blades of the main rotor cut off the tailboom and the helicopter collided with the line anyway and crashed in deep snow, 8 of the 17 passengers (including Lebed') were killed and the other 11 passengers as well as all 3 crew members were injured |
