Commentsw/o 19.11.1963 dbr when it landed heavily at RAF Wattisham, Suffolk, bounced & struck the runway in a nose down attitude. The nose wheel broke off & both main undercarriage tyres burst. It ran along the runway on its nose until it finally ran off the runway causing the starboard undercarriage leg to collapse (with 111 Sqn); officially soc 04.1.1964; GIA at 9 SoTT RAF Newton 28.2.1964 as 7838M; to RAF Coningsby for fire-fighting/crash rescue training 18.8.1978; perished 1981;
