Commentsdbr 15.8.1984 at RAF Cranwell when the instructor pilot abandoned the take-off when he noted a large flock of birds ahead; He elected to land rather than fly through them but the heavy landing burst both main wheel tyres and collapsed the nose wheel leg; the aircraft slid off the runway (with 7 FTS); the a/c was br/up and the cockpit went to RAF Church Fenton as a GIA 14.11.1984 as 8862M; perished on the fire dump by 1988;
