Commentscrashed 14.04.81 when the pilot lost control of the aircraft during ACT (Air Combat Training) when he was flying at a high angle of attack and encountered the slipstream of one of the other aircraft. XX973 went into an unrecoverable spin. Pilot - Sqn. Ldr. David H. Milne-Smith, ejected - ejected safely at 7,500 feet, and the aircraft crashed into a field six miles SW of Gutersloh, West Germany
