As the previous thread (14) has exceeded the magic 100 and is now too big to manage, I've started a new thread.
Please post all your Military updates/requests here and I'll get to them as quickly as possible.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Mike
Your Jaguar at Enstone (from the previous thread) has now been added.

Hi Paul,
Unfortunately I cannot delete one of the records for Xingu 083 (F-TEZE) as they both have sightings logged against them. I have no way of contacting the people behind the sightings so have just changed one of them to DUPLICATE RECORD and hope they move their sightings so I can eventually delete one of them.
The trouble is someone in the past has put a lot of French a/c in just with their F- callsign and not the reg so unless I know the callsign it becomes a duplicate record! I have tried to change as many as I have found, especially with the Xingu fleet as they we're event listed as EMB-121's !
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Swakeleys,

Hi Brian,
Many thanks for the previous lists. Absolutely no problem with the delay - I'm astounded you and Dennis manage to get as much done as you do (particularly in your case with a broken finger)!
There were no ex-military aircraft in the CAA updates for 7-20 Jun and there is just one in the latest 21Jun-4Jul batch.

Hi Steve (Hitman),
Your list of 02 July (from the previous thread) has now been added.
My records show that RSAF AB205A c/n 4024 was regd 102 (no record of it becoming 1404) before Autair acquired it. c/n 4021 was 1401 and became TC-HGB then ST-AUOU.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Quentin,
Your Swiss AF list from 05 July (from the previous thread) has now been added.

Hi Erdni,
Your small list has now been added...hopefully not too many errors in this one!
Thanks for the update on the C-160. It's something I've been meaning to do for ages but never got around to it. I notice 50+40 and 50+66 were still flying with LTG-63 during 06.2021 so guess these must be the last 2 machines and probably to be retired this month.
Kind regards, Brian

Hello Brian,
thought I´d give you a break and hope your finger is getting better...Before I continue with another list of adds, a word about the German C-160 fleet. At Hohn with LTG.63 there are still some 10 a/c active. They will fly until end of September 21 and than phased out. The Event will be marked with a Spottersday on 23.09.2021. Not sure if this is for you or Dennis as the aircraft type was both a trainer for Aeroflot but also used by air forces. If you could action it that would be helpful.

Hi Steve (Hitman),
Finally gotten around to completing your list from 9th July. Probably the longest I've ever taken to action a request...sorry!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Brian,
Don't worry about the delay, we know you've been busy recently but hopefully the damaged finger is healing well. Just a quick correction please. The Hadrian glider below which was on my last list, I put it down as also being BAPC.85 when it is actually BAPC.185. A small error but significant for anyone who tries looking for it with the BAPC number
Thanks for all the hard work .
Steve
Hi Steve,
CG-4A corrected. Even my records show it as BAPC.185 and I never spotted it !!
If you stumble across a BAPC number for the replica Spitfire IX that has now been pole mounted at Salisbury Rugby Club, Wilts (last month) that was previously stored with the BDAC at Old Sarum, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to put it into the DB and I also drove passed it 2 weeks ago and all I could see was code 'JE-J' !
Cheers, Brian
Hi Brian,
Looks like the Salisbury Rugby Club Spitfire is BAPC.580. I have copied the entry from the site I found it on and the link for the site is there too.
BAPC.580 - "EN398/JE-J" - Supermarine Spitfire IX FSM - arrived 07/08/20 at Boscombe Down Aircraft Collection, Old Sarum, Wilts prior to display at Salisbury Rugby Club (the site of a WWII Spitfire factory)

Hi Brian, thank you very much
No hurry, take care for your brides. I have to say sorry. After sending the last list I had nothing until I took a trip east to see the first 2 on the following list.
Now I'm almost ashamed, that I found so many by chance. I really thought the time of big lists for you is over. No, this is no punishment for letting me wait. I didn't. Pubs are open at the moment. Take your time.

Hello Brian, Referring to Joltin' Josie, P-38L 44-23314, when she was with Bob Pond her registration was almost certainly N38BP, not N388P. I spotted her in 1997 at the USAF Golden Air Tattoo in 1997 at Nellis. I'm sorry. You may be out-voted three to one:

Hi All,
Having had a VERY busy August; my laptop crashing and having to purchase a new one, and then not being able to access the Forum for the past 10 days, I'm now gradually starting to play catch-up with your requests - not as quickly as I'd like as still busy - but catching up all the same.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Steve T,

Hi Greg,
Your list of 13th August has now been added.
The C-12U is already in the DB with serial 86-60084 (as I believe all the FY'86 Army birds are....or a lot of sites have it wrong!) & the UH-1H is in as 66-01071 to keep the 5-digit helo standard.
Kind regards, Brian

Kind regards, Brian
Hi Jonathan,
Many thanks for the update on the P-38L. All corrected now!
Kindest regards, Brian
Hi Jonathan,
Ref CT-114 114072 being preserved at CFB Moose Jaw, the photo link you mentioned shows 114078 which is preserved at the downtown Tourist Center? the latter record has been updated but I've left the former as still being stored at Mountain View. Correction welcome!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Swakeleys,
Your CAA updates of 19th August have now been completed.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Simon,
Your RSAF C-130H 1605 has now been added.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Mark,
Your USAF C-130H 86-0419 has now been added.
Kind regards, Brian
Blimey Steve (Hitman) - that must be about every glider the RAFGSA has operated!!
I've only ever logged a few with RAF serials (at various air shows and a couple of fleeting visits to the odd East Anglian base) but nothing like your list.
The only conflict I can see is L-13 c/n 26256 where my records show it as R56 (not R6) and then BGA2962. I'm not saying this is 100% accurate so I'll amend it to your sighting if you wish.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Paul,
First wave of your August spotting trip has now been added.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Brian,
I have to admit I had been saving them all up as I had struggled to find any online listings that I could use to cross reference the registration to the c/n. The info showing c/n 26256 as R6 then BGA 2027 was from http://alles-mit-links.ch/Wordpress/?page_id=394&kennzeichenland=BGA. I have rechecked the site and it appears that R6 is listed twice, once as c/n 26256 under BGA 2027 and also under c/n 026256 as BGA 2962 however both are listed as having been R6. Incidentally this site shows R56 as c/n 26817 then BGA 2958. I have also managed to find the name of the current owner as I G Smith but still unable to find dates. Also there is a typo to correct as well please.
De Havilland DH-82A Tiger Moth II C/N 86123
Originally registered as EM929 with the RAF, you have listed the civil reg as G-DHVV rather than G-AHVV. Probably all those gliders causing a distraction!
Hope this helps,
Steve
Thanks Brian for wave 1. Here is the wave 2 with a little difficulty.
For the last one, I let you find its history. I don't have lot of doc on warbirds so i don't want to drive you on a wrong way. Sorry I can't help a lot but I'm sure that it will be a piece of cake for you.
Thanks a lot, preparing wave 3
Cheers Paul
Thanks Brian

HI Dan
Re your Falcon 50, it did leave the FrAF and became F-ZWMM with Dassault, but then went to the Aeronavale as 27/F-XCXF and was still flying with them in April 2021.
Has it been seen as F-ZWMM since then?
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Swakeleys,
Your CAA changes posted on 09 September have now been updated.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Brian,
Thanks for the update to the 9 Sep posting. Just one minor correction.
Reference: https://www.planelogger.com/Aircraft/Registration/G-PWPO/1027877
This should read G-BWPO (ie. back to original reg as per rest of the group).
Kind regards,
Swakeleys
Hi Simon,
Your two Saudi Hercs have now been added.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Steve (H),
Are you sure these gliders are French AF birds come to haunt me?! They seem just as bad as their numbering system!
I've amended c/n 26256 to reflect R06 and put R56 in as c/n 25817. I've also corrected the stupid typo on the Tiger Moth....sorry, it was late in the evening and probably a combination of Gliders, BGA numbers, R numbers, & civvy reg's got the better of me!!
Cheers, Brian
Hi Paul,
Wave 2 now added for you. I was living in Ireland in 1997 and wasn't able to make it over to RIAT as busy in the USA.
Kind regards, Brian
Are you on fire Brian ? Thanks a lot for my wave 2.
Time for wave 3 in that case.
The Spifire was easy for you so I have now 2 polish Mig and 1 TS-8 found in a pole.

Hi Brian,
Quite understand re typos!
Ref the Beech 18:
https://www.planelogger.com/Aircraft/Registration/G-BKGL/921996
Many thanks for adding the military data.
You might want to also update Status/Comments as the Scramble report noted - unfortunately - that the aircraft "was completely destroyed by fire after it crashed near the town of Vescovato on the French isle of Corse" [Corsica] on 14 Sep.
Kind regards,
Swakeleys

Brian, In answer to your question about Falcon 50 F-ZWMM:
I saw this on 21/04/21, overflying Cumbria. The data came from adsbexchange.com
Have they made a mistake and used the old reg, or has it reverted back to F-ZWMM?
Cheers, Dan
Hello Dan and Brian,
It's a bit unclear without pictures but what I understoud is F-ZWMM was the test reg when the plane reverted to the french DGA for radar upgrade. Then it became F-XCXF.
Sounds correct for me because in France, test reg for Dassault / Airbus... Are F-W and F-Z are registration for the french weapon test bureau. So if plane did some test for the DGA, it probably took the reg F-ZWMM. Planes in the french Navy start with F-XC...
Hope this will help. Paul
Hi Dan & Paul,
Paul, many thanks for your input. I didn't know about which service had the callsigns F-W & F-Z so I've learned something new (but I'm not a fan of the French serial system so that's not a surprise!!).
As for your aircraft Dan, I think ADS-B was using an old tie-up. The Hex code remains the same but they probably just need to update their database with the mil serial as several sites (including good old Scramble) show it as being active as '27' in April 2021, so for now, I'll leave it as such in our DB unless someone can eyeball it differently.
Kind regards, Brian
