Hi All,
As the last update list has reached over 104 messages, I've started a new one to make it more manageable.
Please enter all your Military a/c updates/additions here and I'll get round to them just as quickly as possible.
Kind regards & stay safe, Brian
Thanks Brian, for your prompt update on the F22 and F15. Photos are uploaded.
Could you add those F-18s please?

Regarding spanish FA18 15-01, Warthog, you uploaded the picture of 15-70 iso 15-01 ;-)
For ZH847 (AW101-Merlin), it's written belonging to Agusta Westland but I spotted it in LFBM in 2019 during the NTM and it's Royal Navy helicopter.
Thanks for your usual help and stay safe Paul PS: I don't know why my message is appearing so messy when I wrote it line by line.
Hi Brian,
Yes that does clear up the Mirage issue, thanks.
I posted this on the old feed in error and this appears to be the second new feed so not sure which on but on the FAB list you just entered onto the DB there is one error.
N4416T Northrop F-20A C/N GG1001 Displaying civil reg, military serial 82-0062
You have out it on the DB with the civil registration of N4461T

Hi All,
Most of you won't know that I run my own wedding car business which is why I can normally spend time during the week updating the military side of the database (especially in the winter months).
Unfortunately due to the circumstances we all find ourselves in my weddings have been cancelled for the next 3-4 months and so I'm helping out a friend that is a Funeral Director.
As you can imagine this is a very busy time for funeral professionals and so I'm not at home as much as I'd like to be to update the system.
Please continue to send through your requests and I will get around to them just as quickly as I can, not just as quick as they have been of late.
Thanks for your understanding.
Kind regards, Brian

Hi All,

Now on with your requests....

Hi Paul,

Hi Paul,
I have loaded the ROCAF Mirage 2000-5Ei's for you. I'll start on the twin seats tomorrow afternoon, hopefully.
Kind regards, Brian
Brian, you are a machine !!! Let me know when you finish the two seats, will upload some pics. Thanks a lot and don't forget to save time for you ;)
Hi Paul,
All 60 of the Mirage's have now been added (I'm missing a lot of c/n's).
It's much quicker to add the newer types as there's no research for ex reg's, each of which have to be entered separately, so normally the older the a/c the more records we have to input.
Photo's are great by the way!
Kind regards, Brian
Thanks Brian, I do my best for the pics :) I will also need the F-16 fleet from the RoCAF but no rush.
I have a question regarding french Navy Rafale and hawkeye. How can we search for it as their registration is only two numbers (04, 17...) and the search tool needs 3 signs minimum?
Could please add some german tornados seen during several NTM? 46+23 46+28 46+32 46+38 46+55

Sir, Not sure how to request new additions on this forum but hear goes. Can you please add VC-22 osprey 08-0047 to the data base Thanks Dave
Hi Paul,
I've added the Tornado's and will now make a start on the RoCAF F-16's but as there's 150 it'll take me a couple of days.
As for the French serials, I enter them in the database as 3 digits, so 04 would be 004, 17 would be 017 etc, and I normally put a note in the comments field to say s/n is 04, 17 etc.
I haven't put a lot of the French stuff in yet so your a/c may not be in there. Just let me know which ones you want and I'll get around to adding them ASAP.
Kind regards, Brian
Thanks Brian, Tornado loaded !! Thanks for the tips and yes, you don't have any Rafale M in the data base yet.
I let you finish others requests before giving you a new list. Have a Nice WE Paul
Hi Brian,
Some more when you have the time please. No rush we all realise you and Dennis have real lives to fit in around this stuff.

Hi Paul,,
I'm not sure why the server is running so slow today but it's taking me ages to add the RocAF F-16's. I started last night and have only managed 55 so far (we have to enter them one line at a time). It's taking me at least 10-12 minutes to load each record so It's going to take me a little longer to finish adding them all into the database. I'll let you know once they've been added.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Brian
hope you're keeping well and not getting too bored in lockdown!
A request or two please, all ex Sri Lanka Air Force and preserved at the Air Force Museum at Ratmalana:
Many thanks
Hi Alfred,
Thanks for spotting the duplicate records. It sometimes happens when the system runs slow when adding a/c but I have removed them now.
Your request of 16 April has now been completed.
Kindest regards, Brian
Hi David,
Just request your additions/corrections on here, as you've done, and I'll get around to them as soon as possible.
Your Osprey has now been added to the Database.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Brian Thanks very much for your attention. Much appreciated ,David
Morning Brian, Thanks for the F16, I'm following your progress to create all of it. I can imagine how long it could be. Just to let you know that 6658 has been created twice. Thanks for all !

Hi Paul,
I have finally finished adding all the RoCAF F-16A/Bs to the database, ready for your photos.
After chatting to Dennis (on the civil side) it seems that the USAF records have become too large so I will not be adding the USAF FMS serials in future, but just putting a note as to what they are (unless they are carried). I'll go back and change the earlier ones once I have completed everyone else's requests.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Steve,
Your request of 19 April has been uploaded. Please note the SR-71 is 61-7979.
Kindest regards, Brian
Hi Dougie,
Am keeping well thanks but currently helping out a funeral director as my wedding business is on indefinite hold. Hope you're staying safe?
Your museum list has now been added with a couple of notes:
Ce.337 'CC656' is actually CC653 (painted as 656) same for CC660 (really CC651). Jet Provost 'CJ701' is actually CJ711 painted at 701 (the real 701 is at Wirawila AB) FT-5 SFT1351 should be SFT1301 (prob a typo).
Take care out there!
Brian
Hi Alfred,
Sorry about the duplicate listing but have had lots of problems with the system the last few days. Someone has put a sighting against the other record which means I can't delete it. Can you kindly delete your sighting and put it against the other record and then I can delete your one (hope this makes sense!).
In the meantime, I'll start on your list.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Brian
from weddings to funerals, that is indeed a big change. Hope it is not for long.
Colombo has been on lockdown for a month now, getting used to it. Missing the spotting, socialising and, while food deliveries are allowed, wine and beer is not so I am out of both!
Thanks for updating those. I've never understood why they paint different numbers on these!
Re SFT1351 or 1301.... 1301 was parked next to SFT1302 so it would make sense, but it is definitely painted as 1351, I will upload a photo.
CF901: there is a photo on flickr showing the msn plate as 3820 so may be worth adding that.
These have been listed with Airline as "Sri Lankan Airforce" so they appear in the current fleet list; should they be listed under Sri Lankan Airforce Museum"? Or am I being too picky now? :)
By the way I raised a raised to add the remaining Buran craft, not sure if "space vehicles" comes under you or Dennis....
Thanks
Good morning Brian,
Can you add the french navy Hawkeye please?
And some Rafale M (I don't think none exist in the database)
Thanks for all :)
Hi Dougie,
I should have gone with my instincts as I was going to list them under the Museum rather than the SLAF but changed my mind...idiot!!
I've now added an additional line to show they're currently with the Museum, but have left their service line with the AF as a true record. It's up to you if you want go back in and move your sightings to the Museum line...but you'd have to delete them all and start again...including the photo's, so personally I wouldn't do it.
I can't find any reference to an SFT-1351 in any database or on google so it has to be 1301 painted as such. I hate it when they do that too...unless the info board states why it was painted to replicate a special date or a/c and give the true ID.
Take care,
Brian
Hello Brian,
I have switched my sighting of XX671 to the other entry, so you dan delete the empty one now. Thanks for your great work! Kind regards , Alfred
Hi Alfred,

Also I think I must have listed F-TERO incorrectly as you have it down at w/o in 1991 so clearly E175 can't be the one. I can see listings online which suggest E103 but can't find any pictures or history showing it was with the Patrouille de France. You were there, any ideas?
Thanks

Hi Steve,
I saw the U-2 was already in the DB, but having now gone back and checked, someone had put it in as 82-1074 and I never spotted the error(!) so that's now been corrected. Not sure why I missed off the Dutch F-16..that's now in too.
Doing some digging on the PdF Alpha Jet, I have E103/F-TERO coded '8' as at the show and have looked on Scramble's show report and they have it listed too, so have added this to the DB. I didn't have my log to hand when putting them in the DB (I'm still finishing off 1974!) but noticed I'd seen a few of them at EGUN at the show so guessed it was your log.
Will do your new request shortly.
Kind regards, Brian

I knew you'd be able to work things out with the Alpha Jet, well done. Good luck all the way back there in 1974, I'm sure looking through the old log books is jogging a lot of memories.
Steve
Hi Steve,
Yes I'm having a 'blast from the past' when I used to live on the app to Northolt and then worked at LHR. I'm currently finishing off my NAS Rota logs from Oct/Nov '74 and can't believe the number of P-3's visiting over the 10 days we were there! Good old days.
Your list is now completed.
A note on the Hunter. The real XG194 (FGA.9) is on display at Wattisham & has been there a number of years. The black one that used to fly around marked as 'XG194/N' is PR.11 G-PRII (glad you mentioned that in your notes) and is actually ex WT723. Both are in the DB.
Take care, Brian
Hi Paul,
Dutch Vipers (and GAF Tiger) added for you!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Brian. Does the Buran count as military or civil? I raised a request a couple of weeks ago. as a separate subject line for Space Craft, but it's not been picked up yet. Thanks
Thanks Brian,
Next country for me will be Poland and Japan please.
F16 Polish Air Force
F4 JASDF
Thanks a lot !
Hi Brian
And I've found some more old photos and sightings. Grateful if you can please add these:

Hi Brian this is my first try to ask for an addition to see how it works:
SU-BTL CASA C295M cn S164 Egyptian Air Force
Hi, My first request for addition/correction. Thanks for your work, and hope you're staying safe.
Both these items are from 'a while back' when I did the police Civil Defence Course at RAF Leuchars.
September 1982-September 1983 Addition - XX561'A' RAF BAe Bulldog T1 Aberdeen, Dundee and St Andrews UAS
Correction - XX665 'E' (Shown on database as a Royal Navy Sea King) was another Bulldog, and the solo display aircraft at the 1983 RAF Leuchars Open Day, flown by Flt Lt Ric Head, who previously flew Vulcans!
Thanks
Hi Paul,
Sorry I never saw your other posting. I normally just look at the military updates. I'm not sure who it falls under but I've completed the Buran list for you as best I see fit. Any issues just let me know.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Paul,
Polish Vipers & JASDF Phantom's added for you.
Kind regards, Brian
Thanks Brian, photo loaded. You forgot 47-6905 and can you create 07-8436 (I forgot to ask you this one)
Have a nice day Paul
Hi Paul,
sorry my mistake! I entered it as 47-4905 for some reason, but it's been corrected now and 07-8436 has been added too. nice photos !!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Dougie,
Your museum lists have been added with a couple of notes...
Gannett AS-00 at the museum is c/n F.9127 (the 'real' AS-00). c/n F.9139 is actually AS-07 preserved at Surabaya painted as "AS-00"...confusing or what?! I've put them both in the DB just in case.
PZL 104 "ST-1410" is actually ST-1421 painted as "ST-1410" !!
the C-47A RI-001 isn't a fake serial...I've found it in several sources as being on display at the museum so I can only assume the wing was taken off PK-GDZ after it crashed in 1961 (no wonder the reg is fading, lol !!
Kindest regards, Brian
Hi Brian,
Hope all is well. A few more for you when you have time, this time from Musee Royal de lArmee in Brussels from two separate visit almost 30 years apart. Apologises in advance as there are quite a few missing c/n due to some of the aircraft here being of WW1 vintage.

Also CP-46 Fairchild C-119G Flying Boxcar C/N 254 is already on the db but I believe to code should be OT-CEH not OT-CEF as listed. It is listed as arriving at the museum 02.00 but it was certainly there by July 1986 and I suspect much earlier as it was retired in the early/mid 70's.
One other point, there is a Hunter F.6 nose at the museum and it does have c/n 41H-691136 allocated to it but it seems it was only ever used for ground instruction purposes and never fitted to an airframe. I presume that you would not bother trying to list this as although it has a c/n it has never carried a serial?
Thanks in advance,
Steve
Hi Brian,

Hi Alfred,
Your request of 03 May has been completed.
Sorry for the delay but busy at work (now we're the 2nd worst in the world in number of deaths!)
Stay safe.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Brian, you have all the time it takes for my updates..again a big thank you for your work here. In Germany we are quite lucky so far with COVID 19 regarding the number of deaths, but everybody here is suffering from the desease. I am even planing a few days touring through Germany in June to see some planes and not only writing about them! Please stay safe.
Kind regards, Alfred
Hi Erdni
Your request of 03 May (EgAF C.295) has been completed and is now in the DB.
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Sandy,
Thanks for your message on 03 May. I've added the 2 Bulldogs for you (& corrected the Sea King to XS665!).
Kind regards, Brian
Thanks Brian for everything.

And 3 dutch apache
Do it when you can as usual !! Thanks !!! Paul
Thanks a lot Brian, that was much quicker and easier than expected. I am sorry to say that I've got a bit of work for you in the near future. That's the problem with doing a good job.
Even kinder regards, Erdni
Hi Steve,
Your BRU museum listing has been completed with a couple of notes:
1) 5141/18 is entered as 5141-18 due to the system not allowing '/' in records; likewise with 3471/18, C227/16 & 425/17.
2) RE.8 '8' is in as 008 due to the min 3 digits.
3) OL-L87 is really L-87 painted as such
4) B6 is in as B-6 due to min 3 digits.
5) I had a real issue getting the system to accept A-11 for the Museum, but have finally managed to add this line now,so you may want to amend your sighting to the museum listing.
There's not a lot of info on the WW1, & WWII stuff as, although I'm old, my records don't go back to string-bags, lol !
Thanks for the correction on the C-119 CP-46. I had it in my logbook as OT-CEH from seeing it stored at Koksijde AB in 12.73 but for some stupid reason put it in as OT-CEF as CP-45 is OT-CEE !! I've also put your date in as can't find out when it actually went into the museum.
I've also included the Hunter F.6 nose under a 'NO REG' serial. There's a few of them listed but only one Hunter F.6 as far as I can see.
Will go onto your next list shortly.
Kindest regards, Brian
Hi Brian,
Thanks as always for the great work and the notes to help me find the new items.
Just a couple of points, firstly HD-78 Hanriot HD-1 you have listed the type as Hanriot HD.1-= so I presume the -= at the end was a typo. Also you list it as HD.1 but the one that was at the RAF Museum Hendon (reg N75) is listed as HD-1, a small point but I know you are aiming for continuity for type listing so I though I would let you know.
Also 1899 Fairey Battle I C/N unknown (displayed as T-70) doesn't seem to be on the db. I have tried 1899 and T-70 (and T70) but can't find it.
Finally I missed one off my list so if could add this one too please.
1066 Morane-Saulnier MS-230 C/N 1066
Thanks for all the hard work,
Steve
Hi Steve,
Your list of 05 May has now been added.
I'm not sure if you saw F-104S MM6776 'live' or on display in Erbe, Italy. If it's the latter...it's not MM6776 you saw...it's MM6914 (just to confuse everyone!). If you saw it displayed at Alenia in Caselle you're spot on!
Kind regards, Brian
Hi Steve,
Thanks for the note on HD-78. It's been corrected. I've also added the MS-230.
As for T-70, I should've mentioned in my earlier notes that it's actually 1558 ex RCAF. I can see that's at the museum displayed as 'T-70' but I can't work out where the 1899 comes into play (perhaps the c/n?).
Cheers, Brian

Thanks, Brian
