Hello Dennis: Some corrections to your file on Convair N41527: I was the owner of Air Safaris and bought the aircraft from Steve Penning. Converted to a cargo interior.

The aircraft is actually a Convair 440, originally a C-131E. The C-131D did not have a cargo door!

Interesting things about the C-131E is that it was constructed with beefier airframe and cargo floor, with the airframe belt frames and skins 1 size thicker than the previous C-131's. The cargo floor was constructed with I beams across and tie-down rails lengthwise with a floor of reinforced magnesium between the lengthwise floor beams. It had a floor rating of 300 pounds per square foot, whereas a stock civilian Convair was only 75 pounds per square foot. The C-131D had a standard Convair floor, and the C-131B had a standard floor except the floor was beefed up at the Cargo door area to 150 pounds per square foot.

The cargo door on the C-131B was 100" wide while the C-131E had the larger door of 120" wide.

4L-GAS B707-379C Transaviaservice Jul 2009

One of the great mysteries seems to be solved after all by scramble.

There were two EX-120s around. That's why some sources said so and others said so.

This here for the first time makes sense with my sightings.

is also correct. Probably all on purpose to hide the criminal activities they were in.

As I mentioned a long time ago. I've seen two IL76s with the same reg next to each other in FJR.

Then a couple of times in FJR until 2016 moved to the far side boneyard.

2018 back on airport but reg. not to be read off behind the wall.

After Corona 2024 it was still there, same problem parked next to wall at Al Sharqi St..

One reason for the confusion might be, that the other 707 (19350) was in FJR as well still as 9G-OAL shortly before EX-120 appeared.

Sadly no pic of either EX-120 is to be found, since it's hard taking pics in RKT or FJR and probably also in Bishkek-Manas where the other 707 is rumoured to be stored with fake reg 9Q-CTA (no pics either). Never been there myself, probably never will.

I wonder who provided the info.

To be honest, I still doubt it is correct.
